EBR,

Thank you for your continued support. I was too short, I meant to say value property to associate with a value type.

EBR,

Yes, that is the user manual I have been using. Since I could not find the information in the free package, I downloaded the commercial version for a 10 day trial and found no additional information.

I hope Softeam would not purposefully remove information from a user manual to make the product less useable.

Ok I see your issue now.
So you have to create a "Reference" under a "Block" and then type it with your ValueType in the "Element" tab as depicted below.

Hi again Rayj,

We do not remove information from a user manual to make the product less useable but we add information when features are added...

The kind of information you are looking for are really difficult to put on a simple user guide. Because when you said that you wanted to "create a value type in a block" in fact you wanted "to create a UML2 Property under a SysML Block and then set the ValueType as its type".

So for SysML modelling, you have to learn a little bit of UML, a lot of SysML and maybe taking a look a one or two examples or courses.

Of course our documentation is not perfect so any feedbasck (detailled as much as possible ) are welcomed.

EBR

If you use the 3.1 open source solution, you can find the fix here.

You have to deploy the lattest SysML module and then select your ValueType element, go to the Symbol tab and change "Representation Mode" to Structured and " Stereotypes display mode" to Text.

How to model the situation in attachment in the contract and architecture diagrams?

Thanks

Hi OrlandoSilvadr,

I guess that you can start by modelling all your components as participant and all "Interfaces connection" as Services Contract.
So you will need a Service Contract diagram for each "Interface connection" and then Service Architecture Diagrams will be used in order to model the "aggregation" of all these services.

Hoping it helps,

EBR

Hello, EBR!

The problem is I do not know to model the services in a single provider participant. Could you send me a picture or design as an example?

Thanks

I am not a SoaML expert but I would made some Service Contract Diagrams like the following for the deletation service.

If we imagine that we also have creation service, we can organize both of them thank to a Service Architecture Diagram like:

Hello!

I "draw" a class diagramm and want to test it in Eclipse.
But I cant find:
import com.modeliosoft.modelio.javadesigner.annotations.DataType;
import com.modeliosoft.modelio.javadesigner.annotations.objid;

where are this classes?

Thank you!

Subject: [closed] edition of invariants - by: jmfavre

Hi,
I'm adding ocl invariants to class diagrams but I found the following problems:

(1) displaying invariants in diagrams:
--------------------------------------
the text of the invariants is centered. This is an weird and unfortunate choice as invariants are usually structured text with well defined indentation, e.g. ocl text. I've tried to find a way to change this rendering using the "Symbol" form, or the "Layout" menu, but nothing. BTW I can't find an entry "Constraint" in the "Diagram styles" dialogs.

(2) edition of invariant name
-----------------------------
What is editable is not the same in the diagram view and in the "note and constraint view". Ok, these views this is due to dedicated edition support but what is surprizing is that one can press F2 in the "note and constraint view", change the name of the invariant, but then the name is not updated... (while this work in the diagram).

Is there some plan in the next releases to remove these problems?
Is the workaround is to use stereotyped notes? (which at least are better for rendering and edition)

Thanks for any information,
Jean-marie

Subject: [Solved] Unmasking "Class Association"? - by: jmfavre

Hi,
I've create some classes associations in a uml diagram, and want to create other diagrams containing these classes associations. Unfortunately I cannot figure out how to do this.

I tried "drag and drop" from explorer to a new diagram, as well as all "unmask" options in the contextual menu. I tried this both on the association and on the class but nothing is working. I can get the dotted link in the new diagram. Trying to draw it again naturally raise an error as it is already there in the model.

Did I missed something?
Any workaround for this issue?

Thanks for all
Jean-marie

Hi,

What part of the ClassAssociations do you want to unmask on other diagram? The associaated class? The association? Both?

Which version Of Modelio do you use ? because I tried under Modelio 3.1 and it seems working...

My initiale class association

My class depicted in other diagram

The class assoication depicted in another diagram

For the lattest case, you have to D&D the class association depicted below from the model explorer.
